Annual Census Information


The Town Clerk’s Office has mailed census forms to all households. It is requested that every household verify the information that is preprinted on these forms and return them as quickly as possible. 

Returning the completed census form can be done by placing the form in the enclosed pre-addressed envelope and either mailing it or using one of the pre-designated drop-off sites. Each household should respond within 10 days of receipt of the census package.

  2. Peabody Institute Library
  3. Senior Center
  4. Electric/Water Billing Office 

All of the drop-off sites will have, in their lobbies a white box, which will be clearly identified as “Town of Danvers Census”. 

The Town of Danvers, as well as every other city and town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is required by law to conduct an annual census. The information that is gathered will protect people’s rights as residents and ensure that their name will remain on the voting list, as well as provide verification for the veteran’s bonus, housing for the elderly and other related benefits. A simple response to the local census can prevent your name from possibly being dropped from the voting list.
